The event was organized on 11th March, 2021 with the Theme: TECHNICAL CONFERENCE ON BRIDGING THE DIGITAL DIVIDE FOR THE UNDERSERVED OR UNSERVED COMMUNITIES AND PEOPLE LIVING WITH DISABILITIES IN A COVID-19 CONTEXT IN NIGERIA

he objective is ensuring a country wide and specific learning on the most suitable approaches to building digital resilience for Underserved and unserved communities and people living with Disabilities in Nigeria.

This stems from the resolution of the meeting held in August of 2020 where the UK Prosperity Fund partnered with the Federal Ministry of Communication and Digital Economy and the Nigerian Communications Commission to have a technical conference to foster effective Right of Way administration and issuance of Planning Permits for Masts and Towers in every part of Nigeria.

Present in this meeting include the British Deputy High Commissioner Mr. BEN LLEWELLYN-JONES, the honourable minister of Communications and Digital Economy Dr. ISA PANTAMI, His Excellency the Executive Governor of Edo State Mr. GODWIN OBASEKI, the Executive Vice Chairman of Nigerian Communications Commission PROF. UMAR DANBATTA, Directors of Nigerian Communications Commission, and other stakeholders including Telecommunications Company Chief Executive Officers, President of Association of Licenced Telecommunications Operators of Nigeria, Mr. Gbenga Adebayo and Mr. Osondu Nwokoro the Managing Counsel of Greenfields Law.
